iPad smart cover help

Does any one know how to get pen out of a poly smart cover ... Disappointment from apple the metal is wearing away and you can see the square magnets on the microfiber side

You have a pen stuck in your smart cover? Would love to see a photo of that.

If you think your smart cover is defective, return it to Apple and you'll get a replacement. The magnets should not be exposed with normal use.

I am a little confused right now could you provide a little insight?
-the shiny finish on the metal is fading. Correct?
-you see the magnets on the actual cover. Correct?
-you dont have a pen STUCK on the smart cover but there is just like a pen mark?

Pen mark haha and you can see thee outline of the magnets and the metal is fading
