iPad Smart Cover strange square marks

Hi all,

I have searched all over but haven't found anything even close to the problem I'm seeing with my smart cover.

It's around a year old and in great condition but the inside of the cover has the following marks:

The outside also show the same but not as much as the inside.

Any clues?!?!?

It's probably the magnets for the smart locking, never seen that before though!

I am unable to see your picture but if your talking about 18 boxes and a dot that shows on inside and outside of my cover and my wife's cover too. It looks like a keypad. Is yours like this too? I have searched and your only post I have seen talking about some marks.
