iPad split keyboard

I just noticed that the keyboard can be split to either side of the screen. What is the practical use for this feature? Just curious😕

I tried it once. I guess if you only want to use your thumbs it's somewhat useful. Meh

Easier to type while walking or standing and holding it in your hands. Even more so in portrait mode, where your thumbs will be nearer the middle of the screen.

It also does not push your screen up, so it can offer more screen estate.

pretty obvious, its easier to type with your thumbs while holding in portrait, kind of like a cellphone.
