Has anyone successfully used the WiFi-version of the iPad with bluetooth connection to an iPhone (tethered) in order to gain 3G wireless access?
Without jailbreak, that is.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone you can use MiFi or Tether 3.1.2 as I have it.

Lastly, here is a video of someone tethering their stock Android to the iPad... so yes it can be done on a JAILBROKEN iPhone.

If you look at Apple's information page it informs you that on the iPad:

Supports Bluetooth peer-to-peer connectivity for applications. See this article for additional information. Internet tethering is not supported.
