Are the data transfer speeds on the iPad air the same as the pro? I think I am going to be getting a new iPad and I will be using it for creative work at points, and I am wondering about data transfer speeds of each?

The iPad Pro features a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port supporting transfer speeds up to 40Gbps, while the iPad Air features a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port capped at 10Gbps.

The iPad Pro has a max speed of 5,000 MB/s whilst the iPad Air is a lower 1,250 MB/s.

Performance with the Pro will take advantage of high speed external SSD's.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. I guess I am going with an 11 inch pro. Might go all pro and get the macbook pro as well.
