iPad Video Player controllable by iPhone?

Does anyone know of an iPad video player that can be controlled from the iPhone acting as a remote? The fact that the iPad can be hooked up so easily to an external display would make this very attractive.

Sort of like how you can use your iPhone as a remote for the Apple TV?

I see what you’re saying, but I do not think it’s possible. Not yet, at least.

I also don’t think it’s possible, a TV and and Apple TV will be what most people use in that scenario I guess.

I’m fact, is any kind of link feasible between an iPhone and an iPad? Besides airdrop I don’t think so.

If you airplay 2 to a speaker/Apple tv that device will show as a media control window in control center.

However it won’t show up if hardwired unfortunately.
