Funny convo I had with a friend who happens to be an iPad hater.
Tell your mate to get back to playing Guitar Hero!
Lol hilarious. I have a 2 yr old and he loves the iPad.
The comments are funnier than the video lol.
Oh, he's very good at it. It's a real bass he's holding in his display picture though.
I just quoted you in the debate.
Well not everyone sees the point of an iPad, but a colouring book app can have its advantages, and the next generation children might be a bit more computer savvy, so starting a kid early with something techy, fun, easy and educational is really nice
Tell your friend to pass the pipe.
That fruit is just jealous of you
Yeah, I've received a few PMs from members who want recommendations for colouring book apps now.
I'd say people want their kids to get friendly with the iPad.
what age is your friend?
Wait until your kid smashes the glass screen either by dropping it or hitting it, and since the glass isnt tempered, it will break into shards which will rip through skin. Have fun with that
How about putting a $1-5 film over the screen? No shards then is there? Although I agree the glass should be tempered.
But still, you're doing the same as the greasy-haired muso iPad hater really. The discussion was about the difference in use between 'old school' (colouring books) vs. new tech (iPad app). The ruggedness of the hardware is not really what's being discussed.
FWIW, my own little ankle-biter loves ABC Animals on my iPhone (no iPad in Europe yet, thanks very much Steve) but he also has a set of traditional wooden blocks that do the same job. It's about having a balance.
Last night I found a sight word and a math app. I'm hoping my 6 year old will like playing those, they look fun for a kid. He loves playing on my iPad already and I need to make learning fun for him.
