iPad vs. iPad 2 GPS Performance

Will the faster processor and more ram result in noticeably better GPS performance with the the iPad 2 vs. the iPad?

The GPS refresh rate is 1 second for all GPS devices. I have noticed no difference between the ipad, ipad, iphone 4. Its the iPhone 3G(S) that was slow.

How fast does it pick up satellitels?

The very early TomToms and some cheap SatNav's took ages to find and lock onto Satellites.

Later ones with better GPS chipsets were miles faster, and also could even find them when you were indoors.
