I was wondering if anyone can answer a simple question... My friend has an Iphone and when you go to most websites from the iphone it brings you to the scaled down verions of the web ( like mobile yahoo , mobile ebay etc ) will the Ipad use the same echnology or will you get the REGULAR internet? I was talking about the one with the 3G service.. Like the iphone uses. Thanks in advance!!

On the iPhone with those sites there is the option to use the full version rather than the scaled version. Of course it is down to the site developers as to which version is delivered to which device. The sites see what device/browser the viewer is using and then send the version that the developer wants to send.

I believe with the iPad the developers won't feel the need to filter for it as it has a much larger screen, however of course all of this is conjecture since the device hasn't been released yet.

Likely the real internet. During the keynote they went to Facebook and it didn't redirect to the mobile site.

Sites can always detect what is browsing it, though, so it's up to the site whether or not to redirect to a mobile version when detected, but it likely won't. But no, it likely won't be recognized as the same as the iPod touch and iPhone.

I'll also agree that the web is likely not to be mobilized for the iPad.

It has a higher resolution than a majority of the netbooks out there, so I think it's safe to say they won't need to format their site any differently to appease the iPad reader.
