iPad Wifi with MyWi vs iPad 3G

Does anyone know in terms of Internet performance if there is a big difference between using a Wifi iPad with a iPhone 3G(s) via MyWi versus just a 3G iPad?

I'm wondering if there is a noticeable latency difference because of the pairing between two devices.

Google is my friend . I found a great comparison video between the two. They are SO close and the MyWi even beats the 3G in some of the tests!

Also, if you are in the US, at&t/apple put some lockdowns on the 3g for the iPad. (from what I have heard max 20mb downloads, some apps won't stream)

but if you are connected through mywi, those restrictions won't be there.

Good video to show comparision...I would haven't of thought it would be that big of difference.
