Ipad with a hardware keyboard, hinged screen?

Does anyone think they will make a ipad where the screen is on a hinge off a hardware keyboard?

I would like a setup where the keyboard is dock able. The trouble with a Bluetooth keyboard is you have to shut off Bluetooth to go back to touchscreen use. At least that's what I have to do with my iPad. I shut off Bluetooth because as long as the keyboard is in range, the on screen keyboard no longer pops up when it should.

I don't like the MacBook air as much as an iPad plus bt keyboard. I want to be able to leave the keyboard behind when I don't need it.

I do not see the point of that "dock" as it basically makes the slim, portable iPad into a clunky, 1990's-style laptop.
