Can anyone explain if it's possible to send the iPad to sleep/standby using only a mouse, without pressing the top button?

I can get as far as the lock screen but there doesn't appear to be a method to then make the iPad sleep without pressing the button or waiting for the Auto-Lock setting to kick in.

You can if you use accessibility. I’m hoping they’ll add this functionality to the main mouse functionality though, as its a bit clunky to use with the new mouse features.

You can set up a button to lock it and you use hot corners, like on a mac.
