Hi to all
I go to usa next month. The Dollar is for me in a very good position for buy a ipad2 in the states.
Now my question. Is the ipad2 3G without a contract from AT&T?
I like to take the Pad to Switzerland and use a sim from my local provider, and i don't like to pay a AT&T contract.

thanks for info

The iPad is very hard to come by. You may not find one in a store; however, you can probably find one for sale on craigslist.com while you are in the US.

wow i'm suprised, i have time from 10-30.june to buy one we travel from new orleans to Miami.....i hope one store have one ;-)

If you have an Apple Store in your home country IMO it would be best if you buy the iPad 2 from the Apple Store in the States then its easier to get it sorted via the local or Apple Care. Also you may think of getting Apple Care as well.

However if you are in the UK buy it in the UK as you have the trading laws behind you.

I'm sure you will find one. Wherever you're going to be just call all the local electronics stores and see if any of them have the one you are looking for.

It doesn't matter what country or store you buy the iPad from as long as it is an authorised reseller as the warranty is world wide and Apple will honour it. Of course it is easier if you have access to a local Apple store as you can just book an appointment at the Genius bar to get it repaired or replaced.
