iPad2 The Netherlands Thread

So i pre-ordered an Ipad2, just 2 days after the announcement of the ipad 2 was made. I did this at HTR Arnhem, they asked me to pay 50 euro's upfront. When they had more information, they would call me. 3 weeks later, haven't heard a thing, decided to drop by the store. Guy starts mumbling and making up some lame excuses before telling me my reservation/pre-order has been cancelled. They said Apple doesn't allow pre-orders. I got kinda pissed off that i had to find out this way, just one day before release. "We were just gonna call you". Well anyway, i cancelled my pre-order, got the money back and will spend it somewhere else.

The way this went down, and their arrogant and rude approach, i don't want to buy my iPad there. Don't make false promises just to get customers in, and start lying about it afterwards.

Try googling "ervaringen HTR arnhem". Should have done that BEFORE i ordered my ipad at these guys.
 
o and yeah this is ofcourse also apple's mistake. Talked to guy at Dixons, they ordered a certain amount of Ipads and Apple could only deliver 20% of what dixons wanted..:eek:

I reserved mine at Dixons... I don't know if they will reserve one for me or not, but at least they put me in a list... :S
 
I hope you guys were as succesful as I. I am typing this in my new black 32GB iPad 2 :D. I got it at Dixons and they had like 20 of them. All sold out of course.
 
I have one..with light bleeding. But i don't think it really bothers me as i will hardly notice it under normal usage

All transitions are much smoother and you really notice the speed difference. But I wouldn't really call that a speed difference in multi-tasking, although it might be what you are referring to.
 
I was fortunate as well! Was 3rd in line yesterday at MediaMarkt Utrecht when I arrived at 03.00 pm. Purchased the 32gb3g in white. Must say I am very happy with the color, decided at the very last moment to get the white one. :) No backlight bleeding by the way!

Same here... I actually got it at 16:58 at Dixons and thre was no one there so I didn't have to wait or anything.

I also have a bad case of backlight bleeding. This is what I am going to do:
First I'm gonna wait one week before I call to see how it evolves (although we all know that it ain't going away).
Then I will call the apple store, I will explain the situation and I will make sure that they writ everything down. However, because most of the iPads have this defect I will tell them that I will exchange it in one month.

Let's hope in one month this issue is fixed. If not, I will repeat the process in one month.

Today i read in the dutch news that both Microsoft and Dell think ipad and tablet-like devices will vanish over time, having a hard time competing with laptops (..)

Also, as from today, Apple Netherlands will sell the iphone 3GS and iphone 4 unlocked to have more options when chosing a carrier. How sweet!
 
Any news about the backlight bleeding?
I am having a lot of problems... They do not let me just change it in an apple reseller, they said I have to send it back, they check it and then they repair it or send me a new one... WTF??
 
First post, just to inform that Saturn Tilburg still has 3 64 white wifi and 7 16gb wifi white. I just bought mine 64gb white wifi.
