I did not say they wouldn't be successful or Tim Cook was not satisfactory. It's simply an analogy in regards to buzz or "hype". You cannot for a fact say that Steve Jobs death did not have an effect on the iPad 2 release.

Compare it to say Michael Jackson. Do you think "This is It" would have been nearly as successful or highly rated if he did not die during that time?

Then what is driving the 3rd generation iPad release? Memories of Steve? Or is it an amazing product, like the iPad 2 was?

Everyone knows about Apple and iPods and iPhones and iPads. They are all over the news. Steve's death had nothing to do with increasing peoples awareness of Apple. Your Michael Jackson analogy makes no sense. Try a car analogy next time.

what are you talking about. you're such a fanboy you can't even comprehend what I'm saying.

Do you not understand the concept of marketing? There are other aspects to sales rather than just product quality. I did not say that the iPad3 is an inferior product, all i said was that to top iPad2 sales would be difficult because the iPad2 release had some steam from the Steve Jobs death.

Do you really think there are no other external factors to sales? Do you really think think that the negative foxconn reports did not turn away at least one potential buyer?

First I was disappointed that the new iPad has nothing new except for the screen, so I decided to stick with my iPad 2. However, I just touched it at Apple store, and I instantly decided to buy the new one. The screen does make a big difference. We pay more money to get a better TV nowadays, and why won't we buy a tablet with better screen?
