iPad3 & texting

LTE/AT&T/3gig standard data plan. For some reason incoming/outgoing text messages are not getting thru. Any tips?

You can't text from an iPad - only iMessage to an iOS device's email address.

I didn't know that, odd thing I can send a message to my iPhone, but can't send from iPhone back to iPad.

How are you trying to send to the iPad? Are you trying to send an iMessage to your Apple ID, or trying to text the account number?

ive been sending to acct#.. I added the apple id, and it works fine. Thanks!

You can text, I do it all the time, but you need an app like TextFree which assigns you a phone # - so you'll have a different # for texting vs calling in your phone.

To iMessage an iPad make sure that your apple ID is linked to your Message app in Settings.
