Walked in tonight looking for something else, and (as usual) walked through the Apple section. Chock full of stock in new ones, and a handful of open box specials. Picked up the 16gb wifi the wife's been debating for $449. Looks like they're checking them and turning them back out for sale quickly.

That's a good price especially since you would still qualify for Apple's warranty. If you have any problems, you can get it serviced by Apple.

That was quick. Guess bestbuy is stuck with them unless their truly defective. Stores like walmart and target will not restock them.

This sounds like a good way for people on a budget to save a little bit of money but still get the premier tablet. It's a function of sales. If you sell 3 million in 4 days, even an extremely low return rate generates a lot of available returned stock.

I would jump on it and return mine to buy one of these if I had the time, but I do not, and I do not want to get rid of my "near" perfect iPad.

I returned my black 64GB for a white 64GB just today to my Best Buy. Should've grabbed white from the get go since I loved my white iPad 2.

I restored it at customer service once I knew they had white in-stock and had wiped it down before I took it in.The gal at customer service said they'd be able to make it an open box item pretty fast.

Puyallup, WA Best Buy in case anyone is looking for a deal.

nice to know
might head there

If its 10% off then thats not a really good deal at least not for me since I have to pay CA taxes. Bette off buying one online with no tax

I go my wife a 32GB at Best Buy launch for $599, realized 32 is now too small for her apps and went to BB the next day and exchanged for a 64GB open box for $629.

People can be so jerky towards best buy but if you're smart enough to do rearch at home because these $7.75/hr high school kids are NOT experts then it's a great place to shop.
