iPadOS 16.6 public beta notification even though "Beta Updates" is set to OFF?

I participated in the ios 16.5 beta on my iPad 10 but when the beta ended I set "Beta Updates" to OFF so I would remain on the production release of 16.5. I am now seeing a notification bubble in SETTINGS and a notification in SETTINGS > GENERAL > SOFTWARE UPDATE that iPadOS 16.6 public beta 2 is available even though "Beta Updates" is still set to OFF. I don't see a way to change this and I am concerned it will interfere with normal ios 16.5 updates? ???

Well........ after being there for a couple days, the notification seems to have vanished as of this afternoon. So I guess all is good?
