Yeah I've wanted this for a while. I read somewhere today that you can actually convert an HDMI signal to UVC with the right USB adapter and view that video source on the iPad. Someone's already made an app to just view the UVC audio / video so you're not limited to using the FaceTime app. (Join the Capture Pro: UVC Viewer beta - TestFlight - AppleApplehttps://testflight.apple.com › join)It would be nice if iPads could be used as monitors in general.
Very interesting, thanks for the heads up!Yeah I've wanted this for a while. (There's a reddit post about it but of course the iPad subreddit is doing the blackout protest... so I can't see what the dev said about it.)
I'm curious what the latency is like-- of course I want to use my iPad as a display to play Switch 😂
It does. It just uses "Last In Wins."That's great, but what about audio output switching?
Now it defaults to the HDMI output and can't be switched to anything other than bluetooth.
Just like I said. When you connect any audio device (i.e. docking station [with screen connected]), you are not able to switch to the iPad's internal speakers. It does. It just uses "Last In Wins."
