I do both and consider that to be productivity.I use my M4 13" Pro extensively for large RAW image and 4K video processing. I don't do any spreadsheet pecking.

I see iPad users across social media regularly imploring others across social media to submit feedback on the multitasking issues, so I’m quite confident people are doing so. And I’ve done so as well.I wonder if those worried about the loss of slideover etc have filed feedback? About to install public beta 2 and will see how that goes.
Unless I'm crazy (the jury is still out), earlier developer versions of 26 maintained split screen, which is now absent. They should have left the option of split screen + slideover instead of the full screen only apps, it would have made more sense for users who don't need the windowed apps (personally I only need them, sometimes, on external monitors and that was available even before with stage manager).
I don't even use split screen on Windows, let alone iPadOS... If I need more apps at the same time I use multiple monitors
split screen is still there, I have both the developer and the public beta on 2 different iPads and it's there in both, it's just not started like in previsous OS versions like 18 or earlier. Slide over is not there, but I have kind of learned to lived without, although I still miss itUnless I'm crazy (the jury is still out), earlier developer versions of 26 maintained split screen, which is now absent.
I continue to think that Liquor Grass is an ugly interface. It's like a seductive skin/extension/X Window System that you use for a day or so before you return to something more usable.
Curious where split screen is at? If it is present, it does not seem as simile as going to top middle of the previous iOS and doing split screen or slide over. It needs to stay simple.split screen is still there, I have both the developer and the public beta on 2 different iPads and it's there in both, it's just not started like in previsous OS versions like 18 or earlier. to be honest snapping to the sides is simple enough for me but YMMV, slide-over replication is definitely not as simple and not as functionalCurious where split screen is at?
