Before I go ahead and order this external drive can anyone who has this actual drive confirm it’ll work fine with the current beta.

Just guessing but there’s no way iPad Pro USB-C port has enough juice to power that beast.
With that being said. I fully Expect the 2019 iPad Pro to offer a Full Speed full fledged Thunderbolt 3 port. Which will be a game changer.
So Data transfer speeds via USB-C are just USB 3.0 speeds which are pretty slow Vs. Thunderbolt 3.

Somebody on another thread said they had problems getting the Beta to recognise disks over 4TB. You might want to check that out before committing to a purchase.

I think that might have been me. And someone with the same disk said they could get it to work but had to plug something else in to get it to show up.

I personally still haven’t had any luck - but it’s still possible that’s it’s a power issue - though I’m starting to doubt that now.

Regardless - I think it’s still a little buggy, hoping for improvements in future betas.

I have a question. So with the new iPadOS, will i be able to backup my photos from the photos app into an external usb-c harddrive?
