I'd like to insert the Date in the appropriate space on a letter. It seems that I cannot do this without inserting the day of the week and the time. When I look for a way to change this format, it seems that iPages only instructs me on how to change it when I am using the date/time in a cell in a table. How do I do it for a plain old letter?

I'm using Pages '09. What I do is go to the Insert menu and choose Date and Time. It will then put a default date and time. To edit what you want it to show just double click on the text that it put in your document and you should get a little menu that pops up to let you configure how you want it to be displayed.

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Thanks. That's easy. I wonder why I couldn't find the answer to that in the guide? Its almost like one of the Easter Eggs which developers put in their software. How would anyone know that, without posting a message in a forum? In any event, that is exactly what I wanted to know. I appreciate your answer.
