Iphohne and 2 Itunes

Hi Im trying to set my Iphone up to sync with 2 different itunes. I know this can be done via home sharing but am I right in saying it only works if they are on the same network?

What I want to do is sync with my work pc for emails, contacts etc but sync with my home machine for music, photos etc is this possiable?

There are a couple of hacks that involve a hex editor. Do a google search and I am sure you will find what you are looking for.
