I will be putting a clear Slickwrap on my phone when it arrives tomorrow but also want to get a case. Any cases out there with a little extra room in them that aren't like the typical cases, which I've found have tolerances so tight you feel like you're going to snap your phone in half trying to get them on and off? Add in a thin film and it's often impossible to put on most cases. The Lumen, with it's flexible outer edge, seemed like a good option and I might get that, but I would ideally love a totally clear case because I got the green phone. The Otterbox Symmetry looks nice but I hear it is exceptionally tight. I know Spigen has some nice cases that seem more flexible and might be an option. Seems like the one piece soft rubber cases are best for this.

Thanks!

I have a SW skin (just back, not sides) and a small magnetic plate. While not clear, the two cases I’m using are the Apple leather case and Caseology Vault. You probably would not have any issue with most TPU/flexible cases.

Thanks, very good to know! SW seemed to think they'd work fine with most cases. I've mostly used the wet install skins in the past. Perhaps the matte SW stickers are slightly thinner.

Just got back from Best Buy and their clear Insignia case (I assume that's their store brand) felt quite pliable and roomy. And at $20 with solid reviews I figured I'd give that a shot first. Hate spending $40+ on a case.

I have a skin on my 11 from Dbrand and the Speck Single Layer (TPU) fits over it just fine. Best Buy’s Insignia clear case like the other guy mentioned works great too (I used that before my Speck one currently). Nothing feels forced to fit and there’s no bulging so you’ll be fine with your clear skin on.

awesome, thanks! i figure the insignia won't last forever but will be a good option for the moment while i look around potentially for something else.

How you finding the skin? Does it feel like there’s a slight edge?

Im no fan of cases so considering the dbrand back skin only but not loving the idea of adding a sticker as I’m concerned it may create an edge which will catch on my hand and ruin the feel of the phone.

There is indeed an edge that’s felt when holding the phone. I did my absolute best to apply the skin using a heat gun and all but it’s still noticeable. I knew I wanted a clear case to go over the skin so it is ok for me. Dbrand skins orders come in pairs when you receive them. One is just the back and no top/side coverage like in the pics I posted. The other one is back plus the top/sides. I think if you were to order a skin from them you’d use that one as just holding the device won’t remind you that there’s a small edge there. The “edge” you’d feel would be moved to the spot where the phones railing meets the trim of the display.

So I got the skin on. Didn't go on the corners great. Maybe needed some more heat, but was worried about damaging the phone. Attempted to put the case on too soon and one edge of the skin had to be cut off because it bunched up. But the case went on fine otherwise.

More disappointing was the fact that @slickwrapsinc didn't send the piece that covers the camera area as promised, and like usual I haven't heard back from them yet despite contacting them three days ago. Nice product, but slow shipping and extremely slow customer service response. Also difficult to get a hold of them in the first place. And oddly, they sent two skins, of two slightly different designs, neither looking exactly like what I saw on their website. Hopefully I hear something today or tomorrow and they can send the piece.

If you have a screen protector, this will be less of an issue. Otherwise you will always have that edge when using a skin.
