My son’s iPhone 11 charges really slowly. Anything I should do to fix it or just take it to Apple? He had complained it is way slower than his XR was. I dismissed his concerns thinking he just doesn’t charge it enough bc he’s 13 and doesn’t always think to charge it but last night I had it on the charger for my 11pro max for two hours and it is only charged to 55 percent. Does the 11 have the fast charging?

Try a beefier wall charger. iPhone 11 can charge faster if you use a higher wattage charger.

isn’t the one from my max the fast one?
Sorry, yes, I missed that. You may want to check your cable.

The likelihood that the problem is with the charger or cable is far higher than the likelihood that the phone just can’t “charge fast.”

I thought maybe it was his charger or his outlet at home...but I am having the same issue with his phone that he has complained about. I’ll try a few more chargers and plugs. Thank you!

iPhone 11 for a 13 years old kid ? Wow... lucky him 😆
I bought an 11 for my son one month ago, but he’s 21 😉

by the way, it is not normal to charge only 55% in two hours with the 18W charger, so your iPhone could be defective. could you post the screenshot of the battery page in settings , to see how it charges ?

If he tried the 18W charger of his Pro Max, he already checked with another cable (because it is USB C to lightning)...

There are now a couple battery apps in the App Store that let you see the charging current going into the battery. Get one, then you'll know. Usually the problem is the cable. If you want a cable that passes the most current, get a Paracable. They're way better than apple cables and the phone charges a bit faster because the wires are bigger - less resistance.

Use the original Apple cable. Also a good battery such as a new iPhone 11 battery will take longer to charge as it lasts longer.

It may be a problem with the charger. You can use the iPad charger to charge the phone, which will be faster.

They opened up those stats again? What apps can we use now? I remember around when wireless charging started, I couldn't find a way to get the charging stats anymore.

I think it's better to use the original apple cable. Sometimes it may be a problem of the charger. You can use iPhone 11 Pro Max as it has the past charger.
