So I was wondering if anyone else has same problems as my wife.

She has bought herself iPhone 11 4 months ago and month ago we have discovered she has dents on her display. They are not scratches, it looks like some kind of micro dents in the center area of display. The dents themself are in random lenght and order. She does not use glass protection. She uses the phone only at home as she is stay at home mom and takes very great care of it and makes sure our son does not reach it and play with it. I have already gave it for warranty replacement but it came back with denial statement saying that microscratches on display are not part of warranty. However, they are not microscratches, they are dents. I have iPhone XS and I don't take care of it at all and I dropped it 2 times on concrete and I only have microscratches.

Is anyone else who experienced such problem with iPhone 11 or 11 Pro? Apple stated that this is the most durable glass they ever created but to me it seems exact opposite.

A photo would help but at my company we deploy iPhone 11 as our standard device for employees so we have given out hundreds of them and I have never once heard of any screen denting (unless maybe you are referring to scratches).

Pictures would definitely help out. Not sure I've ever heard of dents like you're speaking of. Maybe try to contact Apple again if they are in fact a defect and not damage to the screen? I dunno.

It won’t be a dent. How long has it been that way? Why wasn’t it noticed when first opened?

Sounds more probable to be digs in the glass, but without pictures it’s hard to say.

The oleophobic coating will scratch with normal use. If you don't like it, use a screen protector, not much you can do about it.

This is a bit more pronounced with women, since many of them have long nails (and they hit the display thousands of times a day).

These are not scratches. You can feel them and they are visible even when you are looking at the display which has been turned on. My wife doesn't have long nails. It happened gradually during the course of 3 months.

Scratches... even though they are not too long, you might call them dents, but still are scratches (and, yeah, accidental damage is not a warranty issue, unless you have AppleCare+, and use an incident to get the screen replaced.)
I saw something quite similar on my last iPhone, where I had keys in same pocket as my iPhone. Just little digs in the surface.
The oleophobic coating is actually pretty soft. You would be surprised how easy it is to damage the screen with a bunch of keys.

You seem confused:

If you can feel the damage on the display with your ‘fingernail’, that’s probably chipped/divot into the glass itself. So that goes beyond just being a scratch, which is superficial on the glass, if it’s actually where you can feel it, then that’s chipped.

Apple boasted that this glass is most durable of all, yet my year old XS which fell 2 times on concrete (one times on display) wihthout ANY glass protector or case protector only has tiny hairlike scratches. On the other side, this 3 month old device which has been properly taken care of has chips, scratches, dents (whatever you wanna call it) on the surface and it is not normal.

I saw display damaged from keys. But this is not from keys. She always carries it stored either in pocket without anything else in it or if she puts it into bag or purse it is always in some kind of pocket or enclosure alone. Most of the day it just sits on the shelf in our living room.

As others have mentioned these are just deep scratches. I have a friend who dropped his iPhone 11 a few times and while he does have scratches now on his phone, his still does not look as deep as these scratches.

I am not sure how she got these scratches but from normal usage it would not be possible to get it scratched that bad, my only guess is maybe when holding the phone and it scratched against a wall or some type of surface? But yea this would not be covered under warranty.

That does look like accidental damage. Maybe it scratched at some point and you haven’t noticed? There’s no screen protector on the screen so it could’ve come from anywhere. I dropped my Pro without a case once without a case and once without any screen protector and it survived just fine. No scratches either on the front or back.
You’re just unlucky that it happened to you.

Similar to what others have already said, to me this looks like scratches.

This can't be the whole story.

Come on, those scratches just appeared out of nowhere?

If she doesn't use a glass protector, scratches are bound to happen.

They are not dents, they are scratches but at a deeper grooves.

It seems lot of people here on this forum think I am lying and that those scratches are result of some kind of cat / key / whatever else damage. No, they are not. They were caused by normal usage.

Regarding the glass protector - last time I have used it was on iPhone 6 Plus. Since then I had iPhone 7 and now I have iPhone XS. No glass protector there. Both fell front glass couple of times. Both were just laying around in the car where there was some kind of dirt and dust. Still, both displays only had microscratches. Believe me, my wife takes much more pride and care in iPhones than I do.

Anyway, I escalated the issue and spent 40 minutes yesterday on the call with Apple representative. He said that I should report it via feedback from on Apple website, including the case number and that they would come back to me. So now I am awaiting the reply.

I don't think you're lying, perhaps just unaware of what actually happened with the device.

You can have the best intentions, but if the display is for example unknowingly wiped with a cloth with some abrasive particles, you'll see scratches. It's a not a new iPhone and has been used for 4 months. Unless you can account for every moment your wife has in contact with the device, it's extremely unlikely these scratches happened with normal usage.

No one’s saying that you’re lying. Just that whatever caused those scratches must be an accident that you aren’t aware of.
