Hello. I have an iPhone 11, 100% battery health, it was purchased from the store in July, brand new. After the update to iOS 15.1, the phone's battery discharges much faster than normal. I reset it from the factory, I also charged the phone with it closed, but none of the options helped me. I tend to think that it is a software problem, because before this update I had no problems. I am waiting for an answer with a possible solution or with a later date regarding the next IOS update, which will remedy this problem.

If you reset the phone and it didn't fix the issue, there are few thing left to check :
- wait for the update that fixes this
- restore the iphone from backup before ios 15 upgrade
- check phone settings & disable some features, remove unnecessary apps, etc. to see if it helps

The idea is that I don't have a backup, but to disable the necessary applications, I have nothing to disable. I wrote an email to Apple where I detailed the situation, I also wrote on the forum, there I saw that there were many who complained about this issue for models 11,12 and 13. So apparently we should wait for Apple to come up with a new update to correct these problems.

Yeah, looks like it)

I have the same issue on my brand new iPhone 13. Apple customer service "stock answer" is to erase the iPhone and set it up as new (don't laugh) ... this means entering all passwords in all the apps again. And my 250 GB storage takes 2 days to restore, during this time the iPhone is not to be used. This cannot be.
The iPhone empties itself from 70% to 20% overnight (between 22:00 and 07:00 the next day) .... doing NOTHING!

I didn't expect such bugs from Apple. Let's pray that Apple reads all the complaints and solves this problem that affects thousands, or tens of thousands of customers, who have done this miracle of updating.

This is probably because you did not went thru IOS 7 ... It was so buggy that I've put my iPhone 5s in a drawer and bought myself a cheap android for 100$ ... I was not happy but I was able to phone and work without charging it during the day (and it had dual sims already ;))

At this time It took apple more than 6 months to come up with usable OS ....

It's my first iPhone. So far I've only had Android. Until the iOS 15 version, I was satisfied, after there are big gaps, that is, I was expecting innovations. If I knew, I wouldn't update.

Innovation ? LOL.
That's long time ago that Apple traded Marketing for Innovation. Last "innovation" was the facial recognition that works...
Since then nothing really. Apple is now trapped in its development model, producing new devices (or the same in new "refreshing" colors, new chip 1,5 times faster as the previous generation "awesome").
You'll notice Apple's marketing argumentation they "introduce" "the best" iPhone/Ipad ... "the fastest" ... but where is the innovation? It is all about selling, selling, selling always more. It is not what end consumer want (wasting valuable ressources, using more power for exactly the same thing, ...).
I don't think Apple is going to innovate here and break this model to align and set the trend toward another and better way of consuming.
Instead of this they produce buggy software that requires more power, memory .... extend existing functionality to their "ecosystem" ... functionalities that only a few people use or that are useless because they don't work correctly (SIRI, Home, Handoff, etc.)
I don't expect them to fix the battery drain before Christmas, there are some "aswesome" magsafe battery out there for sale.

Mind sharing your battery usage graph? I’m on 11 Pro Max and I think 15.1 is draining much more than 15.0.2.

Not seeing anything bud.

Edit: Able to see now.

That’s not too bad actually. It’s not the greatest but it’s fine to me. Here’s mine, 11 Pro Max with 90% battery capacity.

I think mine is not really good.

Your phone isn’t draining at all during standby and you have quite a few media-intensive apps being used. The draining pattern seems fine but it was nothing like how iOS 13 was to the iPhone 11 series.

Nu văd nimic mugure.

Edit: Pot vedea acum.

Nu e prea rău de fapt. Nu este cel mai grozav, dar mi-e bine. Iată-l pe al meu, 11 Pro Max cu 90% capacitatea bateriei.

Cred ca a mea nu este chiar buna.
The point is, that graph doesn't really help me figure out why the battery is draining so fast. For example, since I updated to iOS 15.1 and restarted the phone, it decreases by 2%, which does not happen before this update. The way the battery discharges for me is at least relevant in the context in which I knew that using a certain type of application, in the same place, on the same network, it discharges in a certain way, after this update it seems that everything took on the back.

That’s something, in my opinion, expected. When you power down your phone, and then turn it on, it takes a lot of juice to power things on. This includes force reboots as well.

It's weird, I haven't had this before.

It downloads too fast, in the context in which I have the same applications and do the same things on it. Not to mention that after the restart it remains at that value after the decrease of 2% for some time .....

I have the same problem with a brand new SE2 ... definitely no good standby time ...

I have an old SE1 with battery health of 92% running 14.4.2, stand by time approx 12 days ? (not using it much those days)

SE2 chipset should be more modern with a better low power usage and the battery is brand new and 20% bigger than SE1.

It must be ios15 that drains my battery, my Se2 is configured exactly as my Se1

I've been using apple stuff for 35 years and never had a problem, but last year ... bought a m1 mac that the ssd lasted one day, got a new after a month, but still the screen is crazy when waking up from sleep ...

Apple really should ramp up the quality on hardware and software, not sure if I buy another apple product, to much hassle nowadays ...

That battery life looks perfectly fine to me. And +/- 2% during a reboot is totally expected and can also be just a calibration issue. You don't have a battery drain issue according to those screenshots.

I’m having the exact same issue on my 11 pro max.

Went to bed with 70 ish % left on the battery and it drained to 19% this morning.

Apparently no apps were using any major battery. I see. ”usage by app not available during x to x am“ when I select the individual hour bands.

very frustrating. I don’t want to wipe the device and start fresh. That’s a major pain in the ass.

i guess it’s all I can do at this point to troubleshoot.

A week has passed since the update, we assume that the files have been indexed enough, and the battery discharges just as quickly .... So we have to wait for iOS 15.1.1, because there is no other solution .... I notice... And my question is..when does iOS 15.1.1 appear?

I’m having the exact same issue on my 12 Pro, was fine on iOS 14 but since 15 it doesn’t last long at all i use it in low power mode most of the day because of the battery drain. I’ve reported it to apple. Also phone gets hot while just using safari.

You are saying that the 24 hour battery usage chart for your iPhone 11 is completely wrong? From the 24 hour battery usage chart you posted, at 100% battery usage you would be getting about 14 hours of battery life.
