Hello all,

I was wondering how common dust under the iPhone 11 camera lenses are. The 11 is my first iPhone with a big sensor as I was using a 6 until now and never noticed dust in the cameras. AnywayI picked up the 11 and noticed dust in the front facing camera, I swapped out the unit the same day and thought everything was fine until a few days ago I noticed a spec of dust under my cameras again. Is this just something that happens to all the units now? It doesn’t affect the picture but

I have the same problem on ex iphone 7, rear camera, but my 11pro is flawless.

Yes, there should not be any dust, unless its microscopic. Could u post a picture of it?

I also have dust under my rear camera lens on my iPhone 11 as well as some scuffs on the rear camera bump.

I just ended up returning it, got another one and this one is perfect. When at the store only 1/5 had the same issue we were having. So I feel it’s more uncommon than common.

After using the 11 pro max since September till November I noticed on the top lens one tiny specks got in my lens same thing happen on my xs max same month last year.

I usually clean my iPhone with microfiber cloth.

it Doesn't affect my phone usability.

any of you have some dust in there 11 or pro ,max phones ?

Well this thread has me incredibly paranoid. Gonna be staring at all the lenses on mine tomorrow morning for a while.

Most scary thing is that if dust gets in, then so will water.

I'm sure every iPhone has at least a speck of dust under the lens and whoever says "no" didn't look with the help of a large torch or light source! I have already replaced well 3 kings iPhone Pro Max 11 all had at least one particle of dust! Now I'm waiting for the fourth ...:confuso:

I had dust in my iphone 6s plus camera and dust in my current 11 camera. For the iphone 6s plus it has never caused a problem with my pictures over the past four years and after a quick test picture with my 11 showing no problems I’m sure it won’t be a problem as long as I have the phone. The dust got in during the assembling process and won’t influence your phone’s water resistence which you should only count on during a last resort anyway (they don’t offer warranty for it and water resistence is not waterproof).

So if it’s not showing in your pictures are you returning it because it’s a principle matter? Just not worth it IMO.

Yes, I know that the grain of dust will not affect the final rendering of the photo, I replaced three iphone 11 pro max because in addition to the dust they had small scratches (one in the lens of the cam, another in the chassis and the last in the front LCD just removed the film from new!) all purchased from the apple store ITA

For best results you can clean the lens with your shirt as a dry cloth to remove fingerprint film , dust or dirt. Don't rub the lens with your fingers. Your fingers contain oils.
