I am on the Apple Upgrade Program and this year I have decided to save some cash and go from the 256GB iPhone Xs to the 126GB iPhone 11. One thing I have loved on the X and Xs is the camera and portrait mode. I believe the Xs uses both lenses to take the portrait shot and I wondered how they look on the XR with just a single camera. Will the quality of photo be a lesser quality on the 11 then my current phone? This is my only concern.

I hope so. Any XR here? If so are you happy with the quality of portrait photos that you have taken?

as I understood it, both have portrait mode, but the 11 pro models have the third telephoto lens which looks more natural with a blurry background, mimicking a normal film big telephoto lens. If the 11 and either pro take a portrait mode shot on wide or ultra wide, they'll all look the same.
