To be fair, when I first got my 11 pro Max I was gaming and using it a lot. I used get screen on times of 8hrs and this carried on for a month. I start reducing my usage eventually. I guess it put a lot of stress no the battery.

In three months my pro max finally dropped to 99% capacity.
It could also be due to temperature conditions.
I know sometimes my phone is exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time.
Also I work in warehouse where it could range from 25 degrees Fahrenheit and some of the other sections as low as negative 10 degrees. I know it’s risks that I am taking but I need my music.
 
I know its not the biggest deal but does anyone know if resetting my 11 pro max will update the battery health? Reason I ask is it recently dropped down to 98%, it was 99% but I opened a really old wallpaper app and it made the phone get very hot so I deleted it and switched it off for a while. Then I noticed the next day it went down to 98%. Coconut battery was saying 99% with about 3902mah but over the last 20 cycles or so its gradually crept up again to over the maximum capacity to 3972mah. I've never seen battery health increase on an iPhone unless its a really worn battery so was wondering if resetting it will make it recalculate it?
 
first of all youre so lucky because apple authorized shop wants to give you a new unit . Me and other people in this forum have tried and they wont give us new unit or at least replace the battery . by the way im also using 11 pro which is 11 pro max and as of this day it's exactly 6 weeks old . my battery health max capacity is at 96% too . im guessing the problem is the fast charger that comes with the phone , dont use it unless ur in a rush or u really need to.

ive tried once and it didnt work for me . but ive read a couple forums and some user managed to reset their phone and they said it worked .

this battery draining issues only happens to 11 series , go buy one and compare to ur 8+ . u will notice the difference . my 7 plus battery health max capacity was at 88% after 2 years , then i sold it and bought myself a pro max . now i can feel that something is wrong with 11 series because the battery health dropped really fast , 3% in just 6 weeks

this battery draining issues only happens to 11 series , go buy one and compare to ur 8+ . u will notice the difference . my 7 plus battery health max capacity was at 88% after 2 years , then i sold it and bought myself a pro max . now i can feel that something is wrong with 11 series because the battery health dropped really fast , 3% in just 6 weeks

That’s bananas, I Purchased an 11 Pro in mid October and it’s just now dropping down to 99% battery and I’ve been using a mophie 10 watt wireless charger and have a tendency to leave it sitting on it all night and part of the day.

My health is at 96% for 11 Pro (it decreased 4% over three weeks); I’m switching back to my 5W charger. I had it since end of October.
 
I had to reset my iPhone and the battery health went from 98% back to 100%. I check it on coconut battery from time to time and I don’t get why but it’s been creeping up lately. Back to over 4000mah like when it was brand new. I’ve had it nearly 7 months and charge with a 5w adapter.
 
I have the Pro Max, I charge it up to 83% but try to have it at least 80%. I normally charge once a day and now 1.5 times a day (half a charge at work, full charge (up to 80%) before bed) since March. I use the fast charger included and at work i use the iPad USB Charger and a portable charger bank. Noticeably I lost 1% in less than a week. I keep track of when i lose a percentage so I'm shocked on the rapid degradation from 97% to 96%

100% - September 10th, 2019
99% - Unknown
98% - February 4th, 2020
97% - May 17th, 2020
96% - May 21st, 2020
 
I have iPhone 11 - battery health is at 98% after exactly 5 months. Normally charge once every 2 days with basic Apple charger

My wife has an 11 pro from shortly after launch. Most days she goes to bed and it’s around 20%. If she takes a lot of pics, she charges it in the evening. Always charges to 100%. She just hit 99% health. Her iPhone X got used like mad and was at 93% after 2 years. I used to have battery ocd like you appear to have, and it’s been proven countless times that babying your battery does extremely little to stop degradation. You’re being “better” to your battery than my wife, but her battery health is better than yours. And let’s say your battery is shot in 18 months? You pay the $49 or $79 for a new battery that you can use how you want, with no regard for keeping it close to 80%. The pro max has a 3968mah battery, but you’re only utilizing 3178mah of it if you try to keep it at 80%. A battery is at the end of its lifespan when it’s at 80% health. It’s your money and your phone, but I wish I had learned this sooner. Is all this stress worth $79?

I have an odd problem. I bought my 11 pro used, it's about 8 months old. Battery health is at 96% .. not so bad. But the charge cycle count is 243 cycles. When I charge the phone and look at the battery from the Coconut battery app, it says battery health is at 100% and the max capacity is 50 mah higher than the designed capacity.

What gives ??
 
It’s doesn’t look great. 93 percent since 7 months of use

Interesting.

My understanding is to keep the charge between 40 and 80%, which I'm trying to do religiously with the 11 I just got.
 
I think those "recommendations" like not charging above 90%, no overnight charging etc. are not relevant for daily usage. Mabe one could measure fractions of better "health" in lab testing environments but not in real life. Our phones are used in various battery unfriendly situations like during hot summer in your pocket or using in cold winterstorm. THAT degrades a battery way faster that an overnight charge could ever do.

I used to care about my iPhones battery, too. With my 8 Plus, I never charged it wireless or overnight etc. and ended up with 91% after about 2 years usage.
Now with my day 1 iPhone 11, I decided not to care about the battery at all! I charge it during the day, wireless in my car, overnight on my nightstand... And what: after 10+ months of usage, it still shows 99%. I don't know when it dropped from 100% to 99%.

Since values you see under battery health are only vague measurements, I simply does not care about that anymore. I just enjoy my phone.

Got my 11 Pro Max in March, sitting at 98% right now in August 2020, have not felt any difference in Battery Life, it’s still absolutely phenomenal. These figures are estimates.

I used to feed into the babying my iPhone battery until I realized I could always pay to have my battery replaced. My 15 month old XS Max is at 93% and I rarely run the battery down under 20% and always charge overnight.
 
Launch day 11Pro Max charge overnight with the included fast charger, sometimes I charge during the day as well if I have been using a lot. Currently at 98%.
