Does anyone else have concerns about the brightness having a negative impact on the iPhone 11 Pro’s OLED screen?

It’s my understanding that operating at full brightness is harmful for OLED screens in terms of burn in, image retention, etc. or do we expect that Apple has most likely conducted thorough tests? and that the optimized OLED pixels are more power efficient and as such will burn in less?

I’m interested in any statistics on brightness vs. burn in rates for Android phones with comparable brightness.

Historically, a few things have slipped through Apple’s QA team, hence the question.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. This is coming from someone who’s super pumped and preordering on Friday. Just curious for the most part.

P.P.S. If this blows up, you heard it here first. :p

Nope

Please people, stop with the “gate” suffix. It implies a cover-up, a scandal. For crying out loud the phone hasn’t been released yet.

really? the phone hasn't been released yet and already we have people starting -gates. at least wait for the phone to come out before you start finding flaws.

I’ve been worrying about the burn in potential also. I have a pro max and I come from a 6s plus. No worries whatsoever with the 6s plus but I’ve been told watch for burn in on the Pro Max by some and others say it’s nothing to worry about. I’m so confused and this Friday is the last day I can return it.

I know this might not be helpful but I never worry about such things since I’m always on the latest and greatest. I keep my phone for a year and sell it a week or two before the keynote reveals the new phones. I won’t keep them long enough for this to be a factor for me. the iPhone X hasn’t had mass reports of burn in that I know of and that phone is 2 years old now, unless someone wants to correct me. I wouldn’t worry about this. Keep the phone. You have one of the best

Thank you. I most likely will look at the iPhone 12 and may trade in for that. I’ll kee this.

No likelihood of any burn in.
You’d have to have the screen on with a static image for an extremely long period of time and phone usage is just not like that at all.

Don’t worry about it, just enjoy your phone, this really is a first world problem
