Portrait mode doesn’t always look good because it depends on the distance from the subject and angle. Also lighting. I’ve taken some portrait shots that can be counted as decent.

the first photo has some minor problems but to me, it looks more like a lack of proper focus.
The second photo has clearly been downsampled or heavily cropped so it’s garbage and should not be considered.
The remaining photos look OK. Sure, the hair isn’t attractive but looks personal style to me.

To say the pic isn't "100% perfect" is one thing, but to say it's "pretty bad"...all I can say is 🙄
