Hard to say. Did the speaker and microphone issue happen AFTER you cracked the back? when did you buy the phone?

The phone is still under warranty and it did not happen after the damage as i damaged it 4 months ago and the microphone issue is happening since last 10 days

Has the phone ever fallen in water or have you ever dropped it? i don’t know how you handled your phone so if you’ve had any mishaps that were accidental that could be a cause. If none of those things happened and there is no connection to the crack on the back you should be able to ask if it falls under manufacturer warranty exception.

By the way they will check to see if there is any type of liquid damage because they can look at the indicators inside the phone and see if it’s ever been subjected to excessive moisture. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty

Lol, you serious? They won’t do anything now about those other things as it has a cracked back.

What exception are you talking about? An exception of the warranty?

It may sound weird but..

It is not surprising you are having issues with your mic now that your glass is cracked. I had a similar problem with an iPad mini that my at the time toddler dropped a few times. Its screen had a big crack running almost the full length. The speaker barely worked after that. Apple said its because the speaker is tuned to a sealed unit, with the crack it is no longer sealed.

I have taken up the issue with the apple customer relations directly without telling them about the mic problem and just telling them that i have accidentally damaged the device and don’t have it covered and if they can replace my device as an exception for having being apple customer for last 10 years and buying all the apple iphones since than.
They called me up i think from the apple distribution ltd Ireland and thanked me for being honest and asking for an exception, and asking me to send the images of the iphone and than on Thursday called me again and asked me for the nearest service provider details and told me that he will get back to me on monday.

Although he did not commit anything and i dont have an idea what they are going to do further.

Very lucky, but also another reason why I’ll always stick with Apple. Their customer care is second to none.
