I will have had my 'iPhone 11 Pro Max' a week tomorrow. Like a number of other people here, my screen was been dimmer and a bit yellow compared to my 'iPhone XS Max'. Feels more like a downgrade than an upgrade at present.

I was hoping that after nearly a week the screen would get brighter etc, hoping it was some factory setting that had to do with its shipping. That doesn't appear to be the case.

I've just spoken to an Apple Advisor, who told me to force switch the iPhone off (which didn't solve the problem). And saying that I should try re-installing iOS. But I updated it to iOS.13.1. on Tuesday, and don't think that will make any difference. Does anyone who received a dimmer/yellow screen still have the same problem, or has your screen automatically become brighter over time. As at present, aside from the screen being dimmer/yellow, I see no difference in the LED screen compared the XS Max and the OLED of the 11 Pro Max.

The Apple adviser was talking out of his ass. If you turn off the Auto-brightness option under accessibility you will see how bright the screen really can go.

Thank you, Brilliant!!! ....your right, and much better than the Apple Advisor.
It's really sad, I've been in contact with Apple over issues with my watch since the update. They used to have great support but not so much anymore. I can't stand when the rep I speak with doesn't know their a** from their elbow. Escalated to a "higher tier engineer" and still I'm not impressed. C'mon Apple, get with it!

I had an Senior Advisor argue with me for 20 minutes on what AppleCare+ is. I was reading, verbatim, the terms and conditions of AC+ and she was flat out telling me that I was wrong. I asked her to send me a link so I could confirm what she was saying - she refused and later tried to hide the fact that she was wrong. Apple Support has gone down hill over the last couple of years.

Wow thank you. I’m happy with pro Max screen over xs mas. I had totally forgotten to turn this off. What a difference. Pro Max screen roars.

Hey! I have the same on iPhone 11 Pro. Trying to make a refund.

As mentioned literally thousands of times, have you disabled auto brightness within accessibility settings? This will allow your screen to go brighter than previous models. And the 11 pro is inherently a more yellow screen.

Of course I disabled it. Night Shift and True Tone is off.
I have dirty yellow screen.
