Resolved iPhone 11 Pro online store checkout

I wasn't sure where else to put this question, other than here, since I was purchasing an iPhone 11 Pro.

Maybe I'm dense and completely missing something, but where did Apple put the option to redeem an Apple Store Giftcard (not an iTunes or App Store gift card) during checkout on their webstore and apple Store app? I've looked everywhere, and nowhere does there seem to be a place to input information to redeem an Apple Store gift card. Do I need to go in store to use it? I have a little over $100 USD from a prorated refund for a previous AppleCare policy and would like to put it towards the new phone, or maybe a series 5 watch but Apple isn't making it easy ?‍♂️

At the checkout page using Apple Store app, you have to tap "Buy with other payment options", enter passcode to Apple account, tap on "Add a gift cards" and select all applicable gift cards that are in your wallet. You can only apply up to 4 gift cards. However, you can apply more gift cards in store.

See, I don't get that option on my Apple Store App checkout screen. I have the gift card in my wallet, and I'm logged in with my AppleID, and despite that, I don't see an option to add a gift card. The only options I get are for delivery/pick up options, email for recycling options, pickup store, shipping address, payment (if I go into that sub-menu the only options are to change my card information), and that's it. This is really puzzling.

Even if I go to Apple's webstore and checkout, the only options I get under "How Do You Want to Pay" are these:

It does not show up on the phone app, as I stated in my earlier reply. I posted the webstore screen grab to demonstrate that it doesn't show up there, either.
