iPhone 11 Pro iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 12 6.1”

I currently have a regular iPhone 11 that I purchased a couple weeks ago. I upgraded from my X hoping to get the $280 trade-in credit but was ultimately denied because of an issue with my charging port on my X. So now I am returning the new 11 and they are returning my X to me because I don’t feel it’s enough of an upgrade for $800.I am hoping to squeak out another couple months from the X to make it to the release of the 12.

I am torn in whether to get the iPhone 12 6.1” non-pro version or wait until the 11 pro price drops and get that instead. I just can’t justify the $300 probable price hike for the 12 pro. 5g isn’t an issue because I live in the middle of nowhere and 5g isn’t going to be on the horizon for a VERY long time.

Thoughts?

Yes, very interesting question, which I have too.
We have 11 pro 64GB for 1069 eur in Europe and 12 6,1" is going to costs 859 eur and probably in 128GB variant.
But in Black Friday 11 pro 64GB is going to costs 799 eur and 256GB cca 959 eur.
And then in April / May price will drops to 649 and 789 eur respectively...

So If I will choose iphone in Black Friday (November) I can buy - 11 Pro 64GB for 799, 12 6,1 128GB for 869 eur and 11 Pro 256GB for 959 eur...

What would you choose ? I like 11 pro size, design, probably same or better battery life and telephoto lenses, but I don't want 64GB anymore. It's a step back.

Yes that’s true, and I forgot about that. The $999 11 pro model is only 64 gb and that’s not enough for me. I need at least 128, raising the price even more. The 12 6.1” should start at 128 gb.

759 eur for 256GB IP11 Pro in April/May when price drops is going to be best balanced offer. But 7 months after launch ? I don't want wait too much 😀
I had same decision last year. XR was 100eur cheaper than 11 128GB. XS costed 999 for 64GB. So 11 128GB for 869eur was best buy for me...

Where did you hear there will be a $300 increase for the 12pro 6.1? I heard possibly no increase or at most a $50 increase... I have an X now and I’m planning on the 12Pro 6.1

I meant the price jump from the standard 6.1” iphone 12 ($749) vs the 6.1” iPhone 12 pro ($999). Which is more like $250 difference but still a hike considering there’s not that much difference between the two.

799€ for a 64gb phone is absurd to me. I had the 11pro and one of the reasons I sold it was the relation price/storage... 1000€ phone for a 64 capacity, no way...

IMO 128 is the best option, 256 gets to expensive and 64 is expensive for what it offers nowadays.
