I set my alarm for 4:55AM PST. Opened the APP and it said 'Waiting for store to open' or something along those lines.
At about 5:00:10, the app changed to 'Almost there'. At about 5:01, the store opened and I was able to go through the order process in under 15 seconds (had practiced days before).
Once I hit pay using apple pay, it denied the order because my shipping address was invalid somehow. This set me back an additional 30 seconds.
I got a shipping day of 09/23 originally, but it has since updated to this Friday.
Just thought I'd share my experience.
We are a family, we have a reunion every second-third week in September!!!
So I have real question here actually lol - so my delivery is friday the 20th to my home address. I work fridays 8am - 3pm and the package i'm sure will deliver sometime in the middle of when i am working (probably between 11am-1pm if i had to guess). What are my options here? I live in a fairly rural town (I live in Maine), so it is very safe and not alot of people... as long as the pre authorization is guaranteed to be an option I am sure I good. Is this definitely an option? what is the best thing to to do if you wont be home for delivery? I want to make sure it is delivered obviously and that i dont have to wait for a redelivery....

that’s exactly what happened to me except my address and everything was correct. on the second to last page, it said “delivers 9/20” after submitting, different story
Yep, I would've been there with you but I had to re-enter my address which gave me the 09/23 date. I'm glad I got bumped up though, especially since I ordered the midnight green.
So far for me mine isn't even showing it needs a signature.

i remember back in the 6S/+ debacle, there were like three different places you could check your order, and two of them didn’t show any info and when i checked the third one, it actually had tracking info. anyone remember what the 3 places were ?

I mean the serial number is tied to the invoice so probably not the best idea wouldn't be hard to find.
Ahahaha. Luckily mines going to be held hostage at my local UPS CC until I go pick it up.
Criminals don't think about that, though. I have the Ring camera from Amazon and the amount of people snagging packages from doorsteps in my neighborhood is insane. Happens every day.
The only place you can find tracking info right now is using your phone number or order number minus the last 2 numbers to search it as a reference on UPS.

I have cameras too but knock on wood we haven't had that issue. I even leave outgoing mail packages up against the post of the mailbox and no one touches them.
i dont know what 255'er means but i do know I can get to ZhengZhou, China a lot quicker then friday
255'er is the group of people with 2:55 arrival scans.
Here is mine. It was like this all day yesterday. I must be on a private jet, as I have not seen any others like this.

I never got a departure scan before my arrival scan. It was just the origin and then arrival.
