Any product being shipped internationally must go through Customs I believe. Since the phones are being shipped from China, it goes through Custom. So it will go through Customs in KY, then pallets are broken down and goes on the convey belt with those massive laser tech scanning and goes into the proper plane. So in your case, would go on the plane destination to Las Vegas.

no, it does pass it there.... then from there it will come out west, but don’t be surprised if it sits there till Thursday night.

That is correct, of all the ones that is arriving today to Louisville, KY, it will sit there for a day then gets loaded on the plane on Thursday night for Friday Delivery.

No, only once. If you live in Anchorage, AK, then only those that are in that destination will get the customs done there. Rest of the customs will be done in KY.

I'm an original 2:55er and my phone departed Anchorage early this morning. In past years I remember my phone still being in China on Wednesday morning (according to UPS) and yet was delivered on time. Nice to be "ahead" this time.

Well That's where the main hub for UPS is the UPS Worldport. All planes land there. Pass through the customs then distributed on the plan to your destination.

KSDF is their World Port. They also have significant Hubs at KRFD and KPHL.

We have the same Departure Scan. Without giving much thought to the time zones, I am tracking two flights with the FlightAware app: Cathay Pacific 2084 and UPS 2997. If I guessed correctly, I should be getting an Arrival Scan soon.

For what it is worth, I am a fellow 2:55er with no progress any further, but I believe it has actually moved along quite far already. My charge posted (not pending) on Monday morning, and they don’t typically do that until it starts actually making its way to the states. Could be wrong, but think you should be confident if your charge is posted.

I'm thinking the cathay pacific is the one that is from HongKong (I'm just assuming here), and the one from ZZ to ANC to Louisville would the the UPS one.

The only time packages will go through customs processing in ANC is when it taken off a flight for domestic arrival in Alaska or to switching to a US Flight. In the case of continuing international flights like the Atlas Air 8160 and Cathay Pacific 2084 both of these flights continued on to Louisville (SDF).

Since these two flights offload packages in Louisville that is where the packages will go through US Customs. For our iPhones that are being held for release most will stay in the Transit zone in secure storage and be processed tomorrow (Thursday) to enter the UPS sort / distribution system for delivery on Friday.

Yeah it posted to my Apple Card, and I’ve already paid it off. So there’s that even though mine says it’s in China.
