In my city, all business deliveries are completed before residential startThe truck is literally one street over from me but it still shows "on the road" status and scheduled for 3-7pm

I already got charged my activation fee from Verizon, the only way to avoid activation fee that I am aware of is to buy sim free phone paid in full, or to call your carrier and complain. The other important question: How successful do we think it will be to pop out the SIM in the new phone and put in the SIM from the old phone, to avoid "activation" fees?
haha mine seems stuck in one area too. WHAT ARE YOU DOING???I was thinking something more nefarious..

Depends on store. I was stupid enough to put in flagship. In store gives you a time and you show up. I went at like 8:30 AM. It was fantastic
Fascinating. They told me they only charge an activation fee if you order the phone from them. I just looked at my bill, current and next, no activation fee. Maybe you should call them.I already got charged my activation fee from Verizon, the only way to avoid activation fee that I am aware of is to buy sim free phone paid in full, or to call your carrier and complain.
Ahhhh yes,
The beauty of iPhone launch day is not only in the gorgeous new hardware, but that for 10 days since it was announced, we are in a way united. It happens to fall the same month as the 9/11 tragedy, and this forum really kind of shows the best of people. No one is bickering or caring about politics, just enjoying the camaraderie and rooting for everyone here to get their devices ASAP and be happy!! For many iPhone peoIt’s a union that I’ll bet android phones can’t match.
Having said that, FedEx just delivered my ATT phone to my apartment office, and UPS will hand me the other one at the CC center in about an hour.
Hoorah!!

I tried that last year and it caused all sorts of issues with my new phone. I ended up having to contact Verizon to acttivate, and still was charged the "Upgrade"/"activation" fee :-(I've always been amused by the temporary community that forms around iPhone deliveries every year. We're all happy to anticipate and get our new stuff. Then once we do, we mostly disappear again until the next batch of upgraders next year.

This is why I'm just going to move my SIM card over from my old phone. I don't want to deal with possible activation fees.
What a bummer. And although it's a 1st world problem, you have a right to be upset even though you know other people have more serious problems.UPS does not know where my phone is. Went to the CC as I had requested it to be held. Never got the ready for pickup scan. Only the destination scan this morning. CC people were super nice and tried calling supervisors but the last “physical” scan they see was yesterday in Kentucky. They say all the rest of the scans are “virtual” scans and that my phone never made it to Newark or to the CC despite what I see as arrives, departure and destination scans.... Did not know about “virtual” scans vs. “physical”. So I left empty handed and now I’m on hold with UPS customer service. They said it will probably turn up somewhere today and make it back to the CC tonight or in the morning (but holding for CC pickup means I won’t be able to get it until Monday at the earliest). Frustrating but - oh well - first world problem for sure.

how can you know this?Looks like the truck is only a few blocks away, usually we get deliveries from UPS around 4pm, but where the truck is now it usually isnt there until 2pm. So looks like I should have it by noon or so!

Still downloading the beta over here. Less than ten minutes to go!
I think it's 12.

I have been mulling the idea of moving to a verizon MNVO. How do you find Total Wireless' speeds?I use total wireless. It runs off the Verizon network. $57 a month for 2 lines and unlimited data (30gb LTE.) I buy my phone from Apple and then activate on Total Wireless. No additional fees.
