Has anyone ordered through Best Buy? I had ordered through AT&T but when I found out about their ridiculous new Next Up $5 monthly fee, I cancelled my order and order through Best Buy.

Ordered an iPhone 11 Pro Max Space Gray 256GB with 9/20 delivery date.

I pre ordered through Best Buy for sprint, because sprint was charging $100 deposits for upgrading, never had to in the past and I have Iphone Forever, anyways, I went through Best Buy and pre ordered 2 Iphones 11 pro max and didn't have to pay the deposit. Didn't cost me a dime and it was so easy with a delivery date of 09/20.

they are getting shipped from UPS it looks like. I went on ups website and used my phone number as the reference number and cable was created in china.. the phone was ordered directly from apple.

Ordered through Best Buy but could only do in store pickup on the 20th.

I finally made my mind up and put my order through for mail delivery from Best Buy an hour ago. I figure Best Buy is going to be busy with a lot of pickup order activations. I just hope ups delivers it sooner rather than later. Still seeing a Friday delivery being promised but with everybody else showing delivery dates slipping further and further out I’m prepared to be disappointed. Never the less, I’ll live. Starting to get excited in spite of myself. Lol

I ordered 2 phones, one for the wife and one for me. Neither are showing up on UPS website when searching for the reference number. Anybody else?

also my order status is still “order received”

I don't see anything yet in my UPS. Hoping they come through on their 9/20 deliver day. Never ordered through Best Buy, but heard bad things about last year.

I'm sure they'll come through on Friday. I always get nervous, though, because you never know. I just want my phone on laucn day like everybody else, lol.

It's just weird how some people can see their shipment when searching via phone number and some can't. Not sure what causes the discrepancy.

I just checked and my shipment is showing with my UPS account now :)

Edit: doh. Wrong thread. Mine is coming straight from Apple. Feel free to delete mods

Well, I joined the forum here to get insight to how others are doing with their Best Buy pre order.

I am skeptical that best buy is still showing free shipping on release day or in store pick up on release day.

How could they possibly be offering that if Apple is pushed into October?

Oh well. Fingers crossed!

I put in an order on preorder day at like 2Pm with Best Buy, and they said pickup on Friday. Hopefully that will actually happen....

After reading this thread I went over to BB's site and one can still get a midnight green pro max delivered on launch day. That kinda surprised me.

I wonder if it was a better idea to do pickup or delivery, both given the same 9/20 availability.

There -are- some (1?) sprint model which seems sold out for pickup, so it migth be accurate. BB has improved in recent years so who knows? It'll be the first time I have bought a phone from them (because I wanted the 24 Next).

This isn't exactly a wildly popular release. The XS Max was similar; you could go anywhere and just pick one up on launch day.

After Best Buy messed up my preorder for my iPhone X I was really hesitant on using them again. They seem to ALWAYS mess up my preorders. However, they were the only place that had stock available for release date pickup. I went ahead and put in an order but it looks like the stock hasn't changed at all? It shows all models are still available for pickup on release date and it seems kind of unlikely now. I'm really hoping my preorder doesn't get pushed back again :/

What happened with your preorder before when they messed it up?

This is what I am wondering. Did they compensate you in any way at least? When were you able to pick up your phone?

Someone earlier said that they used to work for BB, and that getting the phones delivered was the best option. They said store-pickup was sketchy, and I think they often use preorders for store inventory.

I have ordered phones before from BB once before, and received them on launch day. Last year I ordered watches for store pickup, and after days of not getting the call/email that my order was ready, I and ended up cancelling the order and getting our watches through apple, same-day in-store.

No compensation here, lol! I felt like they were just trying to hold on to my money due to the fact that they sent an email the day of that read something along the lines of “we’re almost ready”, or “pickup procedure of apple products”. So we headed to the store, thinking it would be any minute. We were wrong!

Best Buy has a new system this year for in-store pickup phone orders, so hopefully things run smoother.
