No it isn't blurry at all. It's super sharp and bright. This is one of the best screens I've owned.

It's not blurry but I can definitely tell the difference in sharpness between a Plus size LCD iPhone (401 ppi) and the regular size (326 ppi) iPhones. I much prefer looking at the Plus iPhone because of this and don't like staring at the smaller screens for long periods. It starts to kinda bug my eyes (since it's not as sharp). In fact I prefer to use my slow iPhone 6 Plus instead of my fast iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 sits in a drawer.

The LCD screen is only 720p on paper but in reality it’s very difficult to distinguish. The only noticeable difference is dark mode, which is very different on OLED.

The display/text is fine. The reviewers would have said something about it when the XR came out. This is what happens when people spread FUD about the display being sub 1080p and non-OLED.

Actually it is 828p on paper…
If you're going to correct him make sure you're right.

The iPhone 11 has a 1792 x 828 resolution screen but there's no such thing as 828p.

720p is an HD Signal format and 1080p is FHD signal format with the p meaning progressive scan.

I knew that too... but not ready to argue. Anyways, the screen is good enough!

Can you elaborate why I’m wrong?
The screen is not interlaced but using progressive scan so the P is correct.
720 and 1080 is the number of rows of pixels on a display, so 828 is correct also.

Hi there ..
Last year, I bought an XS and sold it because of headache and eye strain.. Does the 11 pro have a different screen or pwm ?
I’m willing to buy it but I’m afraid of headache
Those who own 11 pro or read about it could you please tell us your impressions 🌹🌹

So you had an Xs as some point, it has the same 458ppi as the 11pro. so the blurry text you experienced won't be much different. Good news it will be brighter, more nits, maybe that will help your headaches, but won't help your blurry text situation.

I am quite picky when come to pixels per inch when paying for a high end phone. With 326ppi, which are the XR and 11, I can definitely tell that it isn't sharpest. I prefer at least 400ppi.

In that respect then I apologise, you are indeed correct. What I meant was that that there is no 828p video format.

Whilst throwing a p on the end of the horizontal count of pixels may technically be correct (provided its using progressive scan) it's not the norm.

You don't really hear people saying the iPhone 11 Pro has a 1125p screen.

I get it now, you meant the standard. I pointed it out because saying the 11 has a 720p screen on paper, would make it 240ppi, which is far below a retina display, so that it's blurry and 'unreadable' as some people exaggerate would be arguable.

Not. Even. Remotely.

iPhone 11 display is gorgeous, and I’m saying that writing from an iPhone 11 Pro I can compare on a daily basis with my son’s 11.

Nope.
The iPhone 11 doesn’t have a 720P display.
It has something like 30/40% more pixels. Huge difference.

You are right.
That’s because Apple don’t have to comply with any standard like 1080P or 720P.
The most common mistake made on forums and blogs is to define iPhone 11/XR screen as “HD”, which is the usual 720P resolution on Android phones.
It is NOT.
It has 30+% more pixels and an higher PPI.

If you are speaking about 400PPI on an OLED display, with a PenTile matrix, it actually has an inferior number of sub pixels than the 326PPI used on the iPhone 11 LCD screen, with a proper RGB matrix.

That’s the power of marketing.

Yep I’m aware of that, which is why I mentioned I prefer IPS. Even then I wasn’t impressed with the XR screen relative to its msrp.

Did it affect your reading ?? I mean reading for hours
No, it's fine. Although I don't read for hours on a phone. I was being picky for a phone costing $600. It's the same ppi as the iPhone 6/7/8 so that's a good comparison if you had one of those phones.
