iPhone 12 iPhone 12 2 column orientation gone?

Hi all, my first observation, in mail and messages when you put the phone in landscape, on my 11 it would show 2 column orientation. On the 12 this is gone? Any setting to get this back??

Sadly, it appears to be a design decision by Apple. Only the Max gets the 'plus layout' now. Pretty crappy for those upgrading from the XR or 11.

My hope is that Apple is creating a new “plus” sized variant for 6.1 OLED iPhone. This can always be implemented in a future software update.

Oh wow. Huge disappointment. This is part of the reason I got a plus version of the 6s. Not that I’m finally upgrading this is a big letdown. I was actually hoping they would have expanded the column view to more apps...

Possible but extremely unlikely. Those things are already baked into the iOS Interface Guidelines being followed by millions of developers.
