I just got my iPhone 12 on Friday. I ordered my usual Spigen "thin fit" case - unfortunately - the new case its more bulky than the previous "thin fits." So I am looking for something more minimal, and more importantly, with the bottom of the phone open and not covered. I'm used to sliding my finger up without a ridge to contend with.

Here is a link to the Spigen design i'm used to and prefer I used for my X. So looking for something like this, for the iPhone 12.

Any suggestions?

I’m using the lifeproof wake case with exposed bottoms. It’s incredibly light, and looks like it provides enough protection. I’m worried about the plastic wearing and potentially scratching the iPhone 12 pro, but maybe I’m being paranoid.

I love how light it is and how it mimics the previous official apple cases. I also love how it’s made with 85% recycled plastic.

Plastic won't scratch glass and stainless steel!

There is some extra material that is pretty close to the display and makes me nervous when I remove the phone from the case. I’m worried about the oleophobic coating getting scratched.

I’ve been using the Spigen case for years as well, and I’m currently going caseless after a failed Apple Silicone Case experiment.

Multiple threads have been posted about the open bottom, but no one’s asking the real question – does no one else care about the fine pocket lint that’s impossible to wipe off of the screen when the lip surrounds the entire thing?

With an open bottom, a quick swipe of the shirt takes care of it.

I’m using the Coach leather case made by Incipio which I found at Best Buy for 30 bucks. It has the top/ bottom and buttons exposed. I really like this case, perhaps you may like it too!
