Display Faliure-???? brand new iphone 12 purchased 10 days ago., noticed display flickering while reviewing the Photos from Gallery. Display normally fine but only flickering when reviewing the photo from gallery. I never seen such a strange failure in any of the mobiles, i used so far. today given it to apple service center
Any one have idea of such failure ? is it poor design ? or SW or HW issue?

It's a side effect of pulse width modulation (pwm) ie the way how brightness and colours are controlled on an OLED display.
Apple would need to either massively increase the frequency, or change to constant-current control. The latter is for sure more expensive, but I also am a bit disappointed that Apple chose to use pwm.
I hope that they increased the frequency for the iPhone 13, otherwise I might not buy it 😐.

If you only notice it when viewing pictures in the photos app and not anywhere else, the problem isn't typical PWM OLED flickering. Something else is going on.
If it's really obvious and noticeable to anyone, then something is wrong.
Most people can't detect PWM flickering
