iPhone 12 iPhone 12 Mini: Apple Store Pickup Currently Unavailable

So I was planning on getting an iPhone 12 mini on launch day but I’ve had to wait until they reversed my upgrade eligibility from returning my 12.

Up until today the phone was available for pick up on Friday. Today it says Apple Store Pickup Currently Unavailable. Do you think this will change again before/on launch day?

It may. A lot of times stores will have inventory even though the website says not available. You would have go the store and hope you get lucky.

Thanks. It’s weird because all stores had stock yesterday, now all 10 closest stores say unavailable. I think I remember the 12 having availability for in store pick up on launch day.

The 12 had suddenly become unavailable for pickup in stores in my area for a couple days or so during launch weekend, but became available again after. Guessing it was due to the fact they wanted to limit the amount of customers out of concern for everyone’s safety due to COVID.

You should check to see your Apple stores are allowing walk-ups at this point. All of the Apple stores in my general area are doing Express pickup only. The storefront is entirely walled off and you walk up to windows. No lining up outside unless you have an appointment already. There’s security at the stores to enforce everything as well.

I suspect due to the pandemic they are physical space and pickup time slot limited rather than supply limited for store pickup options
