iPhone 12 mini iPhone 12 Mini battery bad

I have had my iPhone 12 Mini for less than a year. The phone is fine, with one exception. The battery life is mediocre, and now to make matters worse, the maximum capacity is already down to 88%. Anyone else experience this? Any tips? I have contacted Apple Support and I am hoping they will replace the battery. Still not happy because there's no way this phone gets a whole day of heavy use without recharging the battery.

Same issue with my launch day 12 mini. I was down to 87% capacity. I tried everything to get through a day without charging one to three times with minimal use. Factory reset to new iPhone didn’t work and I didn’t want to wait until it reached 80% to get a new battery. Apple support didn’t help much either.

I wound up trading it in to AT&T for a free iPhone 13 pro.

Yup that’s why I traded in the 12 Mini to Best Buy for a 13 Mini

My 11 month old iPhone 12 mini is at 96% battery health. I only use wired 20W fast charging, and I’ve tweaked some settings to make the battery last longer. For a heavy user (like myself) you’ll still probably have to plug it in a charger for 20-30 minutes during a long day, but personally that’s not a problem for me…

My launch day one is at 99% still I don’t use MagSafe I just do a slow wireless charge and I let it run down completely and then charge it up

Not a really good idea to run the battery to shutdown. Puts a lot of stress on the battery. Better to stay in the 20% to 80%.

LMAO ... you're complaining at 88% ... I bought my 12 mini in mid march 2021 and I'm currently at 83%!
Also the significant trade in prices f $800+ CAN dropped to $475 I checked today
