iPhone 12 mini iPhone 12 mini battery life?

Hello,
I've been thinking about buying an iPhone 12 mini, but how's the battery? I've had iPhone 5s and iPhone 7 and both of the phones had battery problems. It turned off when it was too cold and when it was too hot and I had to charge the phones daily.

I don't have such problem with Motorola and the battery lasts. The battery on Motorola is 6000mAh, which is why it probably lasts days without charging, but iPhone 12 mini has 2227mAh, which is a lot smaller and people say that iOS is "optimized", but based on my experiences battery wasn't really optimized on the older iPhones I had.

Can the owners of iPhone 12 mini tell me what it's like to own the phone? Does it last the full day? What if I'm in a train or somewhere and want to watch Netflix etc?

The mini last me the full day. My SoT is anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5hrs a day max. If I watch a video, it is a short YT video. I mostly use it as a phone. If you want to primarily use it as a phone with 1 - 2 hrs of Neflix a day, it should be fine. If you want to use Netflix, live on social media, and basically treat your phone as your main computer, it probably won't last the day on a single charge.

Sometimes when I travel I watch Netflix and YouTube and it's not so cool if the battery runs out all of the sudden.
I'll consider iPhone 12 mini now.

Have you tested it outside? What are winters like?

It hasn't really gotten cold here, yet. The lowest it has gotten with me outside is in the lower 30s. It will probably be after 3 weeks or so before I can comment on this question.

I switched the sim from our sons mini and let him use my 12 cause I wanted to see how battery life was with my usage. I get 3.5 - 4 hours of usage until I have 20% battery left. On my 12 I get about 6.5 - 7 hours same usage.

The Mini is Apple rated at up to 10 hours video streaming. Probably less if you are ice fishing.
