I know it seems weird to be looking at either the mini or max, but I'm coming from a gen 1 SE and either want to stick with a small phone or just have a total change.

The big draw to the max is the camera system, so I'm curious what I'm REALLY going to miss out on with just going mini in regards the camera? I've seen so many mixed reviews on the image stabilizer and so many saying there isn't much difference with the photos from each.

So, any regular people with real world experience with these to share?

Thanks, guys!

The AppleProRAW format that's exclusive to the 12 Pros. But you can still shoot regular Raw using third party apps with the mini, as well with 1st gen SE.

Bummer. I totally forgot about the ProRaw. Ugh. I was looking forward to that. Irritating!

I used the regular 12 from launch until my 12PM arrived. Love everything about the phone but seriously missed the telephoto lens and battery life of the Max.

It really doesn’t seem that great currently, and certainly isn’t worth buying a device you’re not going to be happy with just for that feature and a telephoto lens that isn’t always used anyway. Remember you have a decent return period from Apple if whichever device you buy isn’t what you want.
