Hi,

hope someone can help.
I updated from SE to 12 mini. Since then every time i plugin the phone to charge, no vibration comes.
I searched google and the ios guide, but vibrations are on.

This are my current settings ( dont know the right english menu names  )

Bedienungshilfen (operating help) -> Tippen (tipping): Vibration is on
Töne & Haptik (Tones and haptic) -> Bei Klingelton (by Ringtone) vibration is on
Bei "Lautlos" (by silent) vibration is on
Ringtone has vibration muster on.
Tastaturanschläge (keyboard tipping) is off
Ton beim Sperren (tone by locking) is off
Systemhaptik (sytem haptic) is off because it is annoying when you tip in the keyboard.

Any ideas where it comes from or is it a bug like the lock screen swipe issue bug?

kind regards Marcel

When you plug the phone in, you should hear the charge tone and that is it. There is no vibration.
did they changed it? when i plugged in my iphone se in silent mode it allways vibrates. now i have to look to confirm the charging started

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my 12 mini’s haptics. I just can’t get them to work. When the phone was brand new, it had really feeble vibrations. Then they just stopped. I suspect the smaller Taptic Engine is defective.

UPDATE: I just tried changing the haptic settings for my ringtone. None of the haptic choices make any difference. My phone doesn’t vibrate at all. So I’m pretty sure it’s defective.

UPDATE 2: I just got off the phone with Apple support. The technician was surprised that my haptics were dead. He had me try a few things and eventually declared the phone defective. I had a choice of going to the nearest Apple Store to get my iPhone repaired, or getting a new one shipped in. I chose the latter.
