I never used a screen protector on my iphone 7 plus. There were no noticeable scratches when actually using the phone. Additionally, I like the smoothness of the screen without screen protection. For the iPhone 12 pro max, Should I keep the tradition going and not use a screen protector? or should I use one? Do you use use a screen protector and what are your thoughts?

Thanks

They usually bug the life out of me. Decided to give it a go again when I got my 12pm. Using the spigen glastr ez fit. Was a breeze to put on. Barely noticeable it’s there, and my screen is no less responsive. It actually feels like the normal screen to me. We will see how long it lasts. I tried last year when I got my 11 pro Max and the screen protector lasted a week. I see this one surviving longer though.

Screen protectors have gotten so good in the last couple of years. I don’t feel like they alter the experience for me. In addition to scratches, I’m concerned about the oleophobic coating wearing off. So I choose at full screen protector.

One does not need to spend that kind go money for a good protector. I am very happy with the iCarez for $10

I always use a glass screen protector and I can't tell the difference between the feel of having one on or not. Maybe in the days where it was this rubber feeling thing there was a noticeable difference but not anymore. I use the $10 Walmart brand because it has a tray thing to apply it and I've had better experiences with them than ones costing four times the price.

I also have AppleCare but it's two incidents. I can't trade in my phone every time it gets a scratch on the screen. I hate scratches and I don't see any reason not to pay the $10 to protect a $1200 phone.

Thinking I should stay no screen protection after watching this.. iPhone 12 has better scratch resistance according to jerryrig

Update***

everyone on this thread convinced me to get a screen protector.. you really can’t tell that there is one in there... keeps the glass in good condition. Thanks everybody!!
